A $40 gift certificate to Chartreuse, an eco-friendly boutique on South Kinnickinnic Avenue in Bay View, is up for auction.

Chartreuse (note the word reuse in the name) is as trendy of a boutique as they come and yet its eco-fashion is just as much about style as it is about saving the planet. The store has racks of shirts made from soy, bamboo, hemp or flax, but you would not exactly know it without looking at the tag. The cotton clothing is all 100 percent organic.  In addition, most of the boutique's inventory is naturally dyed, although the store does offer a section of completely raw and un-dyed clothes for people with chemical sensitivities.
