All lovers of Wallace Stegner's book should visit this memorial to him and enjoy the magnificent views it has to offer anyone "...who has the wit to lift his eyes unto the hills?" The moderately difficult hike to the bench will take less than one hour.  Upon arrival at the bench a lovely brunch will be served. Sterner Bench is located in the Long Ridge Open Space Preserve off Skyline Boulevard.
