Artist Statement:

I am a professional scuba diver, logging hundreds of dives since 1999. I am certified in 17 specialties which include underwater photography, underwater video, wreck diving, ice diving, drift diving, solo diving, kayak diving, deep diving, enriched air diving, night diving, dry suit diving, search & recovery, underwater navigation, boat diving, oxygen provision, equipment specialty, and high pressure cylinder inspector.

My passion for is for capturing images and sharing them with those who wonder what lies beneath the surface, whether it be a local lake, river, quarry or a far away tropical ocean. My favorite destinations are the British West Indies and the Dutch Caribbean.

The camera equipment that I use is an 8 mega pixel Canon Digital Rebel 350 XT in an Ikelite housing with dual Ikelite DS 125 Strobes. Depending upon the subject, the lenses usedrange from a wdie angle, macro or 17 to 55 mm zoom.

I print, mat and frame all of my own images. The printing process is done using the highest quality papers and pigmented inks available to ensure that they will not fade or change over time. The frames are all hand crafted using many varieties of recycled wood ranging from common white pine to exotic mahogany.  The frames are all hand crafted using many varieties of recycled wood ranging from common white pine to exotic mahogany.
