Description

Rachel Thurrot is a junior at the University of Vermont, majoring in Art Education. Her design was donated as an assignment in a beginning sculpture class taught by Vermont sculptor Kathleen Schneider.


Her design draws from the 1934 Vernon Duke composition, sung by artists like Billie Holiday, Ellla Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. The musical score coats the body of the chair, while the seat is classic black satin.
