Catherine Light is a senior and a studio art major at the University of Vermont. Her design was donated as an assignment in a beginning sculpture class taught by Vermont sculptor Kathleen Schneider.

Her design incorporates a stark white chair, framed in a strategic placement of nails and accented with a black thread. While this chair may not be the most comfortable sitting chair, it would make a dramatic statement in a home studio, dining room or living room.
