Description

UVM Art student Chris Archer created this unique set of chairs that also function as a musical instrument. His design was donated as a part of a University of Vermont beginning sculpture class, taught by Vermont sculptor Kathleen Schneider.

Combining the two chairs with PCV pipe and metal chains, sounds can be made with the provided wood paddle, while two people sit and "play" on the PCV piping. It is our hope that Chris and friends will provide us with a lively demonstration for our guests at the "Musical Chairs" reception on November 7!

This is a Live Event Item.

Special Instructions

Acrylic paint, pvc piping, steel chains. This design may be put together and taken apart.

Bidding on all auction items will close at 8pm on November 6. Bidding on the Musical Chairs will resume at 5pm at the Musical Chairs Reception on Friday, November 7 in the Champlain Mill, Winooski. Chairs will be awarded to the highest bidder at the close of the reception. For additional information, please call the VYOA office at 802.655.5030.
