Two hours of music for your party or other event provided by your choice of either the "East Hill Winds" flute/oboe duo or "Turidae" flute/harp and/or flute/violin duo.
"East Hill Winds" is a duo of Lisa Carlson, flute, and Sandra Cathey, oboe. Lisa graduated from Oberlin College in 1984, after studying flute with Katherine Borst Jones, and has been teaching private and group flute lessons and freelancing in Vermont since 1985. Sandra currently performs with the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra Society as well as the Vermont Philharmonic and teaches private oboe, recorder and clarinet lessons as well as Kindermusic classes. Lisa and Sandra are long time friends and neighbors and have been collaborating for student recitals and wedding performances for several years.
"Turidae" is a mother/daughter duo of Lisa Carlson and VYO member Mariah Carlson-Kirigin. Mariah has played violin since age 6 and harp since age 10 and has been performing professionally since age 7 when Mariah decided to work to earn herself a harp. Lisa and Mariah recorded together on cable TV in August of 2007 and are currently sought after as a duo for Vermont weddings.

Please note that duos may not be available for a predetermined date, though we'll be happy to commit any date we have available at the time of contact after the auction. For "Turidae" this is likely to be primarily limited to the summer of 2009, before Mariah's departure or after the return from the VYO tour to France (July 3-14).
This offer is limited to locations within approximately 50 miles of Montpelier.
