The 2004 Lenswood Abbotts Prayer is a blend of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was aged for 16 months in French oak, 70% new. Purple-colored, it has an alluring bouquet of pain grille, clove, cassis, red cherries, and black currants. Bordeaux-like, it currently lacks generosity but 4-6 years in the cellar should round it out. It will drink well through 2020. (RP)
