Dr. Shelton will personally lead you on a behind the scenes tour of UC Davis Medical Center. Whether brain scans or whole body imaging, he will show you cutting edge medical technology for diagnostics and treatment and talk to you about the future of medicine. Dr. Shelton is also professor of radiology and nuclear medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine and recently completed a "tour of duty" as Chief of Staff.

Special Instructions

 Clinical/Research Interests
Dr. Shelton specializes in diagnostic radiology, including CT, MRI and percutaneous lung biopsies. He is studying cardiothoracic radiology, nuclear medicine, computer networking systems in nuclear radiology, functional cardiac protocols, and tumor work-up staging of functional imaging. Dr. Shelton pioneered the development of transesophageal echocardiography, and has presented nationally on osteoporosis, skeletal metastases in lung cancer patients, thyroid carcinoma, cardiovascular MRI and SPECT. He also has authored eight radiology textbook chapters and reviews for the Western Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Thoracic Imaging.
