Founded in 1827 in the heart of Champagne, Champagne Mumm is recognized as a leading grand marque whose reputation has been built on the quality of both its non-vintage bruts and select vintage wines. Located in Reims, France, Champagne Mumm is situated in the heart of Champagne atop 16 miles of vaulted caves of chalk. With nearly 175 years of history, Champagne Mumm's reputation has been built on both its non-vintage bruts and select vintage wines. Each glass of Champagne Mumm is infused with a long-standing passion for terroir, advanced winemaking techniques and a meticulous approach to blending. Young winemaker Dominique Demarville creates Champagnes of consistent finesse and elegance by drawing fruit from 525 estate acres, which boast an average 98% première cru rating. Grapes from 100% grand cru Cramant vineyards are used exclusively for the single village bottling of Mumm de Cramant.

Each year, Demarville creates cuvées from over 2,000 component wines, drawing fruit from over 700 growers in addition to the estate's own vineyards. When accentuated with Mumm's highly rated vineyards, these combined crus rate an average of 94% and distinguish G.H. Mumm as one of the highest ranking producers of non-vintage Champagnes. Because Mumm Champagnes are made from a greater percentage of prestigious cru vineyards, they require bottle aging up to two and three times the amount of time required by French regulations in order to accentuate their complexity.

Since 1827, Champagne Mumm has created its blends from the finest crus, or villages, in the heart of the Champagne region. Champagne Mumm Carte Classique benefits from this commitment to quality and is distinguished by the use of 25% of grand cru grapes. Since its initial release to the United States in 1881, Carte Classique has been made exclusively for the U.S. and Canadian consumer. Boasting 55% Pinot Meunier, this round, rich, fruity Sec Champagne finishes with subtle sweetness.
