WHITE AND ROSE WINES
BASK CHARDONNAY – Suisun Valley
Pear and green apple aromas lead to similar flavors with floral hints and touches of vanilla and nutmeg from the restrained use of French oak. A wine focused on clean, crisp fruit, made from grapes grown in the neighboring vineyard! $14
WINTERHAWK CHARDONNAY – Suisun Valley
Lively, fresh pear and apple flavors intermixed with touches of vanilla and butterscotch. A combination of barrel and stainless steel fermentation yields a complex and delicious medium-bodied wine—and you can see the vineyard from the tasting room! $16
BASK VIOGNIER – Suisun Valley
Wow! Bright floral and fruit aromas progress to ripe tropical fruit flavors, with a subtle touch of nectarine on the refreshing finish. A complex wine that tastes of grapes—from a vineyard next door—and not an oak barrel. $16
WINTERHAWK ORANGE MUSCAT – California
The aromas sing sweet, the taste finishes dry. What’s going on? Tons of orange blossoms mixed with fresh peaches and rose petals, that’s what. Try this unusual and delicious wine, and see what you think. $16
WINTERHAWK MERLOT ROUGE – Suisun Valley
This stylish rose offers a rich, ripe nose of strawberries mixed with dark cherries and plums, leading to bright, juicy flavors of raspberries and passion fruit. Its lively acidity and slight sweetness make it a great choice for light dishes, or just to sip by itself. $16
RED WINES
SUNSET ZINFANDEL - Ledgewood Vineyards, Suisun Valley
Connoisseurs' Guide gave this a star and listed it as a "Good Value" two years in a row. We humbly agree. Bright, balanced berry flavors with hints of spice layered in moderate tannins and good acidity. Tasters Guild Consumer judging Gold Medals, two years running. $16
SHALE PEAK TOSCANO di SOLANO – Solano County
Sangiovese, the classic Chianti grape, with a little Petite Sirah, Cab and Petite Verdot to give it a definite Solano County attitude. A ripe, rich wine for those times you want something mellow with friends and family. From a little north of Vacaville, off Pleasants Valley Road. $16
WINTERHAWK MERLOT – Suisun Valley
Not your mass market Merlot! Chocolate and lavender aromas preface a Valley silky texture wrapped in soft tannins, blended with flavors of lavender, olives and cherries with hints of dark cocoa and fresh pipe tobacco. $18
BLACKSMITH CLARET – Alexander
This rich and complex Bordeaux- inspired blend offers highlights of dark fruit, pipe tobacco and a hint of smoked meat. The fruit carries through the round mouthfeel to a soft, lingering finish. Combines Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and Tannat. $20
KING ANDREWS SYRAH – Suisun Valley
Rhone grapes grown in Suisun Valley are quickly taking center stage. This Syrah is a good example of why. Aromas of violets and meatiness lead to bright red berries and hints of cherry and a touch of cracked black pepper. Supple tannins help accentuate this spiciness on the finish. $16 BLACKSMITH SYRAH – Alexander Valley
This steep hillside vineyard yields a balanced wine showing classic elements of black cherry, lavender and fresh pipe tobacco. Subtle hints of oak and smoke combine with exotic spices from a 6% addition of Tannat. $22
KING ANDREWS CABERNET SAUVIGNON – Napa Valley
This lighter style Cab delivers nice cherry flavors with hints of cola and chocolate. The resolved tannins are soft and rounded well into the finish. Reserved use of oak in a non-traditional style compared to most Napa Cabs. Approachable now. $25
BLACKSMITH CABERNET SAUVIGNON – Alexander Valley
Classic Cabernet flavors and aromas. Luscious black cherries and cassis mingle with violets and eucalyptus. The velvety tannins set the stage for a lingering cocoa finish. Delicious now, this wine will also reward aging. $30
TWILIGHT RIDGE PETITE SIRAH – Suisun Valley
We love the way that blackberry flavor jumps out of the glass! A robust Petite Sirah without any new oak to get in the way of that ripe, jammy fruit. Try this with something in the meat category, or just kick back and enjoy the fruit flavors created in this Suisun Valley vineyard. $18
SUNSET BARBERA - Twin Creeks Vineyard, Napa Valley
One of the country’s top rated Barberas year after year. Intense cherry and stone fruit flavors with hints of almond and spice, a rich and lively mouthfeel, and a refreshing finish send us combing through our Italian cookbooks and thinking about anything grilled. $22
BLACKSMITH LATE HARVEST SYRAH – Alexander Valley
Ripe, rich Syrah fruit dominates this Port-style wine. Concentrated black cherry and berry flavors are enhanced by the barest hint of oak and balanced with the sweetness and depth of this style of wine. The perfect end to a meal, or in front of a winter fireplace. $28
