Cantorial aspirations? Joyce Bohnen, known to all at MWJDS for her dedication to the school, can tell you all about it, share stories of her success and start you on your way. Joyce was recently honored by Zamir Chorale for her contribution to this world-renowned choral group where she was a frequent soprano soloist. Joyce has also used her beautiful voice to lead High Holiday services at Temple Emanuel in Newton for the past eleven years and at Temple Emmanuel in Wakefield for the previous thirteen years. A student of Cantor Gregor Shelkan, z”l, she was one of the first women to serve as a cantor in a Conservative synagogue. Could you find a better or more inspiring teacher!
