About the 2007 Domaine Coteau Pinot Noir: The estate-grown grapes used to produce this wine come from hill sites that form the northern terminum of Oregon's Eola Hills. The vineyards here slope south and east, providing excellent exposure for ripening this most famous of Burdundian wine grapes. At harvest time the grapes were destemmed, partially crushed, and cold soaked prior to fermentation. Following fermentation, the new wine was transferred to French oak barrels, a third of which were new.
