About the author: Tom practiced law for over 10 years in the Western New York corridor, spending four years as a criminal prosecutor with the Felony Trial Bureau of the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, and seven years as a civil trial lawyer specializing in patent litigation. He also served as vice president and general manager of the IP Management division of Manning & Napier Information Services (MNIS), and is currently the President & CEO of IP.com. As an author and motivational speaker Tom meets with schools, Girl Scouts, and other organizations.
