This copy has been donated and signed by Len Wein, who wrote several of the books contained in "Essential X-Men." Len is legendary in the worlds of comics for having created Wolverine and numerous other X-Men characters. Len also created "Swamp Thing" with artist extraordinaire, Berni Wrightson.  

Len’s been Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics, Disney Comics, and Top Cow Comics, and Senior Editor at DC Comics. He is noted for long runs writing almost every major character in the comics business. Len has also written dozens of episodes of many animated TV series, such as: "The Batman," "Hulk," "X-Men," "Godzilla," "Spider-Man," "Streetfighter," and many other popular shows.
