Description

Sculptor Linus Coraggio enjoys worldwide renown but he got his start at PS 75 (1966-1974).

  • After attending Music and Art High School he began showing his unique sculpture in group exhibits in New York City.

  • While still studying for his BFA at SUNY Purchase he invented a genre of street art called 3-D grafitti.

  • After graduation Coraggio actively participated in the blossoming East Village art scene, forming and galvanizing a sculpture group known as the "Rivington School" that created massive junk sculpture installations on the Lower East side from 1985 - 1997.

  • Coraggio has done both public and private commissioned works for Art organizations, Universities and Corporations in North America, Europe and Asia.

  • If you've sat in the "throne" Coraggio created that sits on the 116th street downtown subway platform, you know the unique allure of his work.

This "Fox Police Lock" candelabra stands five feet tall and holds 3 normal size candles of any length.
