Description
Harry N. Seymour, Ph.D., is an award winning artist whose works reflect an eclectic array of subject matter and techniques. His African American experience influences the unique compositions that capture the essence of scenes as varied as children frolicking on a beach, or the syncopated rhythm of jazz musicians. He is noted for his scratchboard etchings, impressionistic egg tempera, casein and oil paintings. Seymour is recognized for his modernist aesthetic and for creating art that is both unique and contemporary.
Seymour has spent many summers enjoying the beauty and tranquility of Martha’s Vineyard which is the inspirational source for much of his current art. "Against the Rail" is a 16" x 22" giclee print that depicts a scene from his favorite muse, Martha's Vineyard.
His art is shown on Martha' Vineyard at the Carol Craven Gallery in Vineyard Haven, and the Dragonfly Gallery and L’Elegance , Oak Bluffs, MA
