Description

St. Peter's Church in St. George's is the oldest Protestant Church in the New World, dating from 1612. The light shades, made from Bermuda cedar, were crafted for St. Peter's in the early 20th century when electricity was introduced.

The shades were removed this year to make way for modern lighting. The shade has been cleaned, refinished and turned upside down to make a most attractive waste paper basket.

Part proceeds of the auction price will go to support preparations for the 400th anniversary of St. Peter's in 2012.

A letter of authenticity will be provided.

This is a Live Event Item.
