This offset print by Manuel S. Franco is a Limited Edition (34/450) which has been signed by the artist.  The overall dimensions of the piece are 27 1/2" X 35 1/2" (Image 16" X 40"). 

The print is framed and matted by the artist in a frame with a matted black finish.  The print is double matted with acid free mat board and UV conservation glass.  All matting materials are museum quality.

The original of this piece was painted in 1996.  The original painting sold for $25,000.

About the Artist

In this high tech world, Manuel S. Franco strives to keep the old traditions alive.  Manuel's early inspiration came from his mother, who worked with different textures of ground glass, creating images similar to sand paintings.   Sadly, none of her work has survived.  Perhaps this further encourages Manuel's paintings to pay tribute to and help preserve his Indian/Mexican heritage.

His subject matter as well as his use of mediums is diverse.   Although his subjects include Westerns, Wildlife, Portraiture, Native American and Still Life's, he increasingly concentrates on Southwestern scenes.  Manuel works in oil, pencil, pastel and bronze, but his first choice is watercolor, because this medium lends itself to the fine detail that he puts into his work.

Originally from Coyame, in the northwest state of Chihuahua, Mexico, Manuel received a degree from the The University of Chihuahua as a mining engineer.   After several years of mining Manuel found his way back to his first love -- Art.

During the past twenty years. Manuel's work has gained international popularity, traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, attending a wide variety of art expositions and benefits.
