Special Instructions

Nancy Serafini sees her job as an interpreter. Her goal is to translate her clients’ dreams into real functioning homes that are true reflections of their own personal tastes and styles. Her own style is relaxed, comfortable and also elegant. Nancy’s interiors are punctuated with color. She loves to mix traditional furniture with sophisticated, richly textured and pattered fabrics. Adding antiques, artwork, and other decorative elements creates warm and gracious interiors. Nancy never tires of searching for just the right piece. Whether she discovers a treasure in a cobwebbed second hand shop in Savannah or at a prestigious dealer in London, Nancy’s clients delight in her findings. Nancy’s work has taken her to the British Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Georgia, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Connecticut, Vermont, New York and Florida. The experience of discovering new places and sources brings uniqueness to a new or existing home.

Over her 30-year career Nancy has been privileged to work on many projects, both residential and commercial, from their inception. Nancy’s ability to work side-by-side with the architect and builder is a huge advantage to the client. From the outset, the rooms can be designed to flow naturally into one another, and the client’s current furnishings can be incorporated into the spaces, as requirements for any new pieces are outlined. Careful planning and specifications before beginning renovation or new construction helps speed the process along while lessening the need for change orders.

Over the years Nancy has developed a team of designers who share her dreams and sense of commitment. They have succeeded in their devotion to their clients’ happiness. Their work has been featured in many well-respected publications, and Nancy has been the recipient of several design awards (see Press). The best reward, however, is a satisfied client.
