Description

Rising Sun Earthworks stoneware is made by hand by artist June Gonzalaz. It is handbuilt - or thrown on a wheel - with no presses or slip casting used. Pottery that is properly thrown and fired is much stronger than cast pottery.

There are many steps to create the finished product; wedging the wet clay, wet sanding, many days of drying and firing, and hours of  forming and glazing the pieces.

The batter bowl comes in a two quart size, with a handle for gripping and a spout for pouring. It's great for making pancakes, muffins and brownies.  The piece is durable, simple, and meant to be used every day--and--it is dishwasher, microwave and conventional oven-proof!
