A Voice of Her Own – A Public Speaking and Debate Experience July 13 – 17, 2009
This residential program is designed to honor girls’ voices, intellects, and passion for learning. SBS has a long and illustrious history in debate and public speaking and is recognized as one of the strongest programs in New England, competing locally, nationally, and internationally.
A Voice of Her Own is structured for a wide range of girls, from those who want to gain confidence in speaking publicly to those who wish to improve and implement oratorical, research and critical thinking skills. Many women in public life ascribe their success in part to their early training in debate and public speaking. While some girls will use the skills hones in this session for secondary school competitions, all will acquire lifetime skills in public speaking and debate.
