Current parent, Linda Thiel Hewlings P '12, has set aside her paper and canvas to start the business of painting on footwear and bags.  The idea grew out of her desire to find ways to illustrate the written word in a more unique fashion.  She paints seasonal subjects, scenes from books, poetry and song lyrics.  The theme of this tote bag is illustrations from her own book, Ophelia In The Beyond (book 1 in a series of 3), which she hopes will be published in 2009!
