This red malong is a fine example of a traditional tubular skirt worn by the trbial women in the southern part of the Philippines. It is akin to the sarong and has multiple uses including: a skirt, dress, shawl, blanket, sunshade, bedsheet, "dressing room", hammock or even a  prayer mat.
