Description

Niels Diffrient's Freedom Chair, designed in 1999, was a breakthrough in ergonomic seating. The headrest version featured here offers height-adjustable, custom support.  This unique chair uses a counter-balancing tilt mechanism to self-adjust according to the user's height, weight, and movement, thus eliminating the need for manual fixes. The Freedom Chair was awarded the 2002 National Design Award from the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt Museum.  Made in USA.  From www.gazor.com.
