European Eagle Owl is from a series of watercolors in an effort by Danita Grant to capture the determined spirit of some of natures most fierce and stunning birds of prey.
The artist had a delightful experience photographing the 'Birds of Prey' series because of the exciting and captivating locations that she traveled. The subject, European Eagle Owl came from photography taken by the artist at the Dunrobin Castle in Scotland. Danita considers herself very fortunate to be able to celebrate these magnificent birds of prey through the medium of watercolor.

About the Artist:
Danita Grant has studied watercolor painting under the direction of Coe Steinwart, illustrator of the children's book, Elf on a Shelf. Danita is currently studying the media with the guidance of Karen Bradshaw. She is also studying oil painting at the Old World Art studio under the tutelage of Chris di Domizio.
Danita's work has been displayed at the Lydia Art Gallery , Strawberry Fields Gallery and the Monfort Fine Art Gallery in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Danita Grant is the grandmother of Hannah Rose and Mason Thomas Grant, students at Saint Hilary School!
