Part of the Wildlife Conservation Society, the Bronx Zoo is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States comprising of 265 acres of parklands and naturalistic habitats. It is a home for thousands of animals, many of which are endangered or threatened species. The Bronx Zoo is the Wildlife Conservation Society's flagship for the management of the world's largest system of urban wildlife parks in saving wildlife and wild lands through science, international conservation, and education.
