“Orange Garden Party” is a 16” x 20” original watercolor of a flower garden arrangement painted by artist Carol Heikema, under Plexiglas with a one inch gold metal frame. 

Carol is a talented artist who loves to paint watercolor scenes of her encounters with nature.  She frequently travels throughout Indiana, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to absorb as much of her natural surroundings as possible, then to convey that beauty to the world through the lens of her studio in Hobart, Indiana.  “Painting has always been a spiritual experience for me, recording details often missed by the casual nature observer, so viewers will become more aware of Natures’ presence in their lives.” 

Carol is currently represented by the Shimmery Gallery On Line, of Munster, Indiana, as well as the RiverWoods Gallery of Eagle River, Wisconsin.  Her art has been on exhibit with many groups throughout the region, as well as a number of solo exhibits in places such as the Carnegie Center for the Arts in Three Rivers, MI, the Ottawa National Forest Visitor Center, Watersmeet, MI, and the Kalamazoo Civic Center, Kalamazoo, MI.  Carol has donated this particular piece for our auction in honor of her grandson, a student at our Hollister SDA Christian School.
