Description
A private guided hike for up to eight people at Scenic Hudson’s Shaupeneak Ridge in Esopus , Ulster County. The hike is offered on Thursday, July 2, from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. (sorry, no substitutions). Shaupeneak Ridge, one of 28 parks Scenic Hudson operates up and down the Hudson River , is a 570-acre mountain forest with many stunning features. The three-mile, moderately challenging hike will offer fun learning experiences, highlighting nature and wildlife around the park’s pond, waterfall and hiking trails while providing stunning views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains.
The hike will be led by Scenic Hudson Parks Management Assistant Jillian Sprance, a Vassar College graduate and an experienced guide.
Scenic Hudson is the largest environmental group focused on the Hudson River Valley . A crusader for the valley since 1963, Scenic Hudson’s highest priority is its campaign to Save the Land That Matters Most – a collaborative effort to preserve 65,000 acres of land that meets the state’s highest standards for scenic, ecological and agricultural significance.
