Taught in groups of 3, lessons will begin
with instruction on grooming, horse handling,
tacking the horse, mounting, steering, posting,
and work on the lunge.  

Learn to ride in harmony with your partner, the horse. 

Centerline Dressage teaches riding through the classical methods handed down through the centuries by riding masters who advocate patience, tact, softness, and harmony in training the horse.  Julie and Leslie Harris, owners and instructors of Centerline, have been teaching riding for over 30 years and have developed a successful program of classical teaching for riders of all ages and abilities.  Specializing in dressage, a French word meaning training, they teach a balance seat which allows the rider to then specialize in any discipline of riding.  There are available: weekly lesson programs, courses such as Empowerment through Horses, Conquering Fear and Handling Horses, and a young riders program called the Ulster County Young Riders which form a competitive Dressage Team.
