Nestled in the Siskiyou National Forest this is a truly wild and diverse region. Hidden away in a remote valley is where you will find the Illinois River Hideaway. We are off the grid and solitude and solace is abundant here. Deer regularly traverse the meadow to eat the apples and drink from the river, occasionally you will be surprised by a fox in the berries or a river otter playing in the water. Swimming is excellent with both shallow places for children and deeper holes for the better swimmers. Summers are hot-90 to 100 degrees and winters are mild-usually in the 50's during the day and the 30's and 40's at night. Every season has its own drama with spectacular wild flowers in spring and a wild and roaring river in winter. In this natural environment time ceases to matter. If you are looking to get away from it all, Take a relaxing vacation from it all then this is where you want to be.

The RIVER CABIN overlooks the rapids and has a wood fired hot tub Martha Stewart filmed the Salmon baking part of her Southern Oregon Special with Takilma elder Agnes Baker Pilgrim right here on the river boulders! The wood fired hot tub is seasonal and is very soothing for star gazing during the fall, winter and spring.
