The trip begins in Paso Robles with a 2005 Paige 23 Syrah Noir. This black Syrah exibits smokey and meaty fruit with pepper and berry. Second stop is Cav Wine Bar in San Francisco where you pick up a bottle of the Hundold, 2005 Pinot Gris. Off to Napa and the 2005 12 Mile Trail. A full bodied Merlot with gobs of fruit. After an espresso in Healdsburg you spot a 2003 Ridge, Late Harvest Zinfandel and a Husch, Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. Two bottles for the road. At sunset (the following day) you reach your final destination. You watch the sky darken and enjoy the 2003 Mendocino Ziz Zag Zin. Juicy Zin fruit with a good finish.
