A careful complement of sweet oak lifts and enriches the keenly defined, wonderfully pure varietal fruit that sits at the heart of this very deep Pinot. Equally successful in terms of its texture and balance, the wine is supple and silky smooth, yet lively and firmed by just the right measure of fruity tannins. It conveys a fine sense of stuffing without the least hint of heaviness, and there is every reason to expect that it will get better with time in bottle.
