2006 Domaine Bouchard Pere & Fils Volnay Caillerets Anicienne Cuvee Carnot. From a ripe and structured vintage comes a delicious Burgundy with crushed red fruit, herbs, mineral and a long sweet, focused finish.

2002 Pontet Canet, Pauillac. "92 points from the Wine Spectator: A solid wine with berry, currant and mineral character. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long finish. Racy. Alfred Tesseron is making excellent wine nearly every year now. One of the few 2002s better than 2001. Best after 2008.
