Classroom Art Project, Serving Tray #2,"Gold", by Ms. Lee's 4th Grade Class

Item Number: 473
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Ms. Lee's class created a beautiful serving tray using a multi-step process and "found" objects. The final tray measures 18 1/2 by 22 1/2 inches. Created from a flea market picture frame & paper mache, it is a testament to how beautiful objects can be created from items that would otherwise end up in the landfill- and a reflection of Ms. Lee's students' commitment to improving the environment. The tray is very functional & water resistant (but do not submerge in water).
Tray #2 is decorated in gold & beige, creating an elegant & artistic serving piece. Then, the students in the class each created a belief statement- inspired by NPR's series "This I believe"- which gives us a little bit of insight into the minds and hearts of these terrific kids. The belief statements adorn the tray's surface, resulting in an inspiring & useful piece of art. Enjoy!
