John Redfield, cellist with a career in teaching and performing has established a premiere cello studio in Santa Monica. Several prize-winning students with statewide recognition are among his current roster.

As a teacher, he is one of few that champion the Popper School of cello playing, a methodology of the absolute highest caliber. John is also cello coach for the Southern California Honor Orchestra as well as cello coach at Lincoln M.S. As a performer, John, who has lived and performed extensively in Europe specializes in music for Solo Cello and plays an Italian cello dated 1810.
