Description
Gyrotonic and Pilates exercise systems utilize a body-mind connection to achieve greater strength, flexibility and can achieve dramatic change in the body through regular practice. Pilates is a mostly linear movement technique (up/down, front/back, in/out) focused primarily on stabilizing the spine and building abdominal strength. Gyrotonic exercise is based on principles of yoga, dance, swimming and tai chi. It utilizes swimming-like circular and spiraling movements to balance the entire body in all directions. Both techniques emphasize stretching and strengthening simultaneously during each exercise. They can also reduce chronic pain, improve balance, alleviate chronic conditions, support pregnancy and improve sports performance.
Special Instructions
Private Sessions are held in my home in Bedford Hills, NY. I have one cat. If you are allergic you should be fine as I have several long-standing clients who are allergic and have no reaction. If you are asthmatic and are triggered by cats, this may not be the environment for you.
First session must be scheduled by August 31, 2009.
