Guided Moonlight snowshoe walk

Item Number: 231
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
- By the light of the moon you and 9 of your favorite people can venture on an easy, guided snowshoe walk Near Snowbasin/Maple Campground.
- At the turn-around-point replenish your group with hot cocoa and cider.
- This adventure of 60 to 90 minutes (depending on your groups' ability) will take you 1/2 to 3/4 miles.
- Gear provided: snowshoes, poles, head lights, and hand warmers. Adventurous souls raise your hands high!
Have you ever enjoyed the thrill of strapping on the old snowshoes and quietly making your way in new fallen snow while a full moon shines brightly above you? If not, here is your chance! This will be one of the most amazing walks of your life.
Although headlamps will be provided, they are rarely needed since the snow often reflects an ample amount of moon light, even on only starlit nights!
- Transportation from St. Joseph's HS in Ogden to trailhead
- Snowshoes, poles, hand warmers, head lights, and guide provided for up to 10 people ( age 10 or older).
- Hot Cocoa & Apple Cider at turn around point.
- Approximately 60 to 90 minutes on a moderate 1-1.5 mile walk paced to the groups' ability (no straggler left behind), but participants must not have significant physical disability.
- We stop intermittently to listen to the beautiful sounds of the winter night.
- We will choose a location on the east side of Mount Ogden, but we will not choose until we know how aggressive the group wants to be.
This is a Live Event Item.
