Extending a tradition made famous by the immortal Paganini, violin virtuoso Livia Sohn gives "voice" to two centuries of operatic themes in this intimate chamber performance - as heard on her 2007 CD, Opera Fantasies for Violin, awarded perfect "10s" for both artistic and sound quality in Classics Today. A First Prize-winner in the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition at the age of 12 and a member of Stanford's Music faculty since 2003, Sohn is one of the most exciting and nuanced international touring artists to emerge in recent years.
