Description
Generously donated by Galerie d'Orsay located on Newbury Street in Boston, experience the romantic and dynamic impressionist work of living Master - Bruno Zupan. Considered one of the top landscape painters creating work today, Zupan paints the emotion of the heart. His inspiration comes from spending his life in the pursuit of light. He prefers to paint en plein air rather than in his studio, and his locations of choice are Mallorca, Venice, Paris, and New York. Picturesque vistas, the haphazard growth of flowers along stucco walls or well-worn footpaths, and the golden tones of sunset on Venetian architecture all owe their inspiration to Zupan's observance of light and the recognition of the varied yet simple manifestations of its beauty. The deep emotional relationship that Zupan has with the subjects he chooses to paint allows him a freedom of expression that art critic Ed McCormack has described as "active, alive, and visually autonomous."
Your winning bid includes the acquisition of this hand-signed limited edition entitled "My Father's Guitar" - a poignant and very personal composition by the artist. In addition, you will attend Galerie d'Orsay's private Collectors' Reception to celebrate the opening of Zupan's new collection of original oil and watercolor paintings. Taking place on Saturday, April 18th, you will enjoy the rare opportunity to meet Zupan and take home a personally dedicated and hand-signed edition of the latest book about the heralded artist. You will also enjoy the opportunity to experience Zupan's newest collection specifically created for Galerie d'Orsay's exclusive exhibition beginning April 11.
