Longwood Symphony Orchestra joins the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship to celebrate the work of Dr. Albert Schweitzer, musician, physician, and humanitarian and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. 

The  WORLD PREMIERE of “Albert Schweitzer Portrait,” with the words of Dr. Schweitzer and music by Gene Scheer, adapted and arranged by Jonathan McPhee, will be performed with Surgeon General Dr. David Satcher as narrator. 

This special concert will be performed by the Longwood Symphony Orchestra on May 9, 2009 in New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall.
