Fort Worth Zoo's pride is showing, thanks to recently being named the top family attraction in Dallas/Fort Worth and among the nation's best zoos by the Zagat Survey's U.S. Family Travel Guide.  The book also selected the Fort Worth Zoo as #19 among the "50 Overall Top-Rated Attractions" in the entire United States.

Home to a world famous reptile collection, the Fort Woth Zoo features natural habitat exhibits where visitors are often only separated from the animals by a river or waterfall.  Founded in 1909, this is the oldest continuous zoo site in Texas.  Today, the Fort Woth Zoo boasts highly acclaimed education programs that cater to children, adults and teachers, as well as conservation pgorams that rank among the most respected in the world.
