Bailywick Candles was born out of a conversation with a group of friends, who like us loved candles, but were disappointed by harsh scents and smoky residue that mass produced candles left behind. 

we discovered that most wicks contained zinc or lead that created those plumes of black smoke. 

we agreed that someone should make a healthier candle.

we realized: if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself… so we did

we made a few batches and passed them onto our friends, they in turn gave them to their friends, and so on, and so on, and so on…. as word of mouth (or should I say nose) spread, our business began to grow and more people embraced the healthier benefits of soy wax.

before we knew it we had more flavors than Baskin Robbins.  The rest is, continuing history.
