Tells the story of how Galveston recovered from the famous hurricane of Sept. 1900.  Features rare 100-year old photos of the people, ships, buildings, seawall and causeway projects.  After the 1900 hurricane Galveston was bankrupt, but its leaders decided to risk everything and rebuild, and they succeeded without federal assistance.  Their efforts made Galveston great.
