Founded in 1991, Android came to fruition through Wing Liangs’ fascination and dedication to create a futuristic timepiece that could combine the traditional values of watch making with modern day living. ‘It’s like giving a well known vintage wine a new label’. Android first began by importing watches and later realized that there was something absent from modern day watch designs, a void in the market that needed to be filled.

The ‘stepping stones’ to Wing’s experience in watch design began primarily with producing a private collection for a clothing company back in the 90’s. The collection was a phenomenal success and from this point his popularity grew and has continued to advance. I realized that I wanted to improve the functions of a watch and stylize it to fit in with modern day living”.
