This beautiful antique, circa 1900, was used as a way to measure and carry grain home from the rural markets in Northwest China.  Decoration includes the Chinese character for the family's name and metal pieces that have been added sometime to during the life of this measure to maintain it's functionality.

This piece measures 14"L x 14"W x 9"H and would serve as a lovely powder room guest towel holder or as a magazine holder.  Possibilities are endless!
