Fantastic wine from the El Sol Winery in the Livermore Valley. This is their 2004 San Francisco Bay Merlot. This is certainly not your ordinary merlot as this one has got some spice paired with the oak componet from almost 48 months aged in french oak. Not too much tannin...just enough to work well with food.

The bottle has a wonderful signature on the back label by owner and winemaker, Hal Liske.
