This copy of the Boy Scout Handbook is new and has never been opened. The book is in superb condition with only a small amount of shelf wear. This handbook was written by William Harcourt, better known to generations of Scouts as ‘Green Bar Bill'. For this book, he came out of retirement and spent an entire year writing this edition which returned the Scouting movement back to its traditional outdoor program from the urban emphasis of the 70's. The cover art is by Norman Rockwell (his 1970 painting ‘Come and Get It' featuring Scouts at Schiff Scout Reservation in New Jersey) and was his last cover illustration for the BSA.
