This is the fifth issue in Lena Liu’s Basket Bouquets collection, a series of limited-edition plates that capture the beauty of nature’s flowers. Created from an original work of art painted on silk by renowned artist Lena Liu. This plate is entitled “Lilies” and it features the central lilies, open wide like bright white stars, while a few unopened buds spill into the decorative border. Purple sweet pea blossoms peek out from the center of the bouquet, while soft Queen Anne’s Lace fill out the top. Even a few pink roses can be seen in the arrangement which is displayed in a woven basket. Long retired and limited to a maximum of 150 firing days this particular plate is marked 8118A. Crafted in fine porcelain, this plate has been hand signed in gold pen by the artist. Measuring 8 1/4" in diameter, this plate is in mint condition with original box and all paperwork....never displayed, stored safely in a nonsmoking household.
