This is a really adorable collectible plate made by the Hamilton Collection.  Dated 1989 on the back of the plate, it is in a series called Small Wonders of the Wild.  This particular plate is called "Young Explorer."  The plate is 8 1/2 inches in diameter and in perfect condition.  The artist for this collection is Charles Frace and numbered 1861 A.  This plate is porcelain with a border of 23K gold.
